Harm reduction is practical, community based response to substance use. Harm reduction principles prioritize the health and safety of people using substances by providing them with risk mitigation tools and non-judgmental support for treatment. 

 

The Biden-Harris has officially endorsed naloxone distribution and harm reduction strategies. Introducing them in high school not only distributes naloxone to the community but educates young adults with proven and compassionate strategies to addressing public health crises.
